Benjamin S. Johnson, D.D.S.
Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and earned his dental degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the American Orthodontic Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry, and he has also served as president of the Burlington Dental Society.
Dr. Johnson enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular passion for root canal therapy, orthodontics, and oral surgery. He values being able to provide a wide range of treatment options for his patients and enjoys helping them achieve healthy, functional, and confident smiles.
Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson is married to Laura, and together they have six children: Makai, Grace, Trae, Amari, Boden, and Rosealee. He also owns a brewery with his wife called Duesterbeck's Brewing Company.
Jay Banez, D.D.S.
Dr. Jay Banez was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV and graduated from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University. Dr Banez went on to receive advanced training in dental procedures including oral surgery and trauma from the University of Colorado. Dr. Banez is caring and compassionate and truly enjoys working with his patients to produce amazing results.
Kristi, RDH
Meet Kristi! One of our amazing dental hygienists who keeps our patients smiling bright every day!
If she wasn’t perfecting smiles, she’d be out exploring the world in the travel industry — no surprise since her dream trip is to fly to Washington and cruise down the Pacific Coast Highway with “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” playing in the background!
Kristi lives by the mantra: “What you think, you become.” And we think she’s one of the kindest, most inspiring people we know!
Ellen, RDH
Meet Ellen! One of our incredible dental hygienists who brings both skill and sparkle to our team every day here at The Dentist!
Ellen can’t live without Google (who can?) or her mascara, and she’s always dreamed of learning to play the piano. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, and her family’s tradition of decorating cookies makes it extra sweet.
If Ellen were a dental instrument, she’d be a Montana Jack — pink, girlie, dainty… and mostly gets the job done. We can count on Ellen to get the job done!
Amanda, RDH
Meet Amanda! Amanda is one of our amazing dental hygienists here at The Dentist!
If she weren’t keeping smiles healthy and bright, she would probably be glamorizing people in a salon as a hair stylist.
On her bucket list? A trip to Germany!
When asked if she could create a new holiday, Amanda created “Nap Day” and we are all up for it!
We adore Amanda for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and optimism. She’s always ready to care for our patients and make every visit a great one.

Skydiving is on his bucket list (talk about fearless!), and his life mantra is one we love: “People come and go, but the right ones stay.”
Oh, and fair warning… if you ever challenge him to a game of UNO, expect to go home medal-less — he’s taking gold every time.

When he’s not in the office helping keep smiles healthy and bright, you’ll probably find him out on the boat enjoying the water and the weekend vibes. He lives by one simple mindset: “trust the process.”
